Rolex Sky-Dweller Value: What Your Annual Calendar Is Worth in 2026

The Sky-Dweller sits at the top of Rolex’s modern catalog in complexity and, for many references, in price. It combines a second time zone with an annual calendar, all controlled through a rotating bezel. For owners, that complexity cuts both ways: it supports strong demand for the right references, and it raises the stakes on condition, service and configuration when it is time to sell or borrow.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller

What Makes the Sky-Dweller Different

The Sky-Dweller debuted in 2012 as Rolex’s most complex wristwatch at the time, as SJX Watches’ technical explainer notes. Three features define it:

  • Annual calendar: the watch distinguishes between 30- and 31-day months, so it needs adjusting only once a year, on March 1, as Rolex notes. The current month is shown through twelve small apertures around the dial.
  • Second time zone: a rotating off-center disc shows home time in 24-hour format while the main hands show local time.
  • Ring Command bezel: turning the fluted bezel selects which function the crown adjusts, a system Rolex describes on its Sky-Dweller features page.

Launch years follow SwissWatchExpo’s Sky-Dweller guide and Bob’s Watches’ Sky-Dweller history. The second-generation calibre 9002 added Rolex’s patented Chronergy escapement, according to the Rolex newsroom, and in 2024 Rolex offered its first precious-metal Jubilee bracelets on the model. No new Sky-Dweller references were introduced in 2026.

The reference number tells a buyer the generation, metal and bracelet at a glance. If you are unsure which you own, the reference is printed on the warranty card and engraved on the case between the lugs at 12 o’clock.

What Drives Sky-Dweller Value

Metal

The steel-and-gold Rolesor references introduced in 2017 opened the Sky-Dweller to a wider buyer pool and tend to be the most liquid. Solid gold references have higher values, but their resale depends more heavily on current demand and on gold prices. The Sky-Dweller was the strongest-performing Rolex collection in April 2026, up 2.6% for the month, which 5D Watches’ summary of WatchCharts data partly tied to gold price movements.

Retail pricing sharpens the picture. Rolex’s US list price for the white Rolesor 336934 on an Oyster bracelet is $17,750 on rolex.com, while recent sales run roughly $23,000 to $28,000, a clear premium over retail. Solid gold is more mixed: Luxury Bazaar estimated in January 2026 that gold Sky-Dwellers traded about 15 percent below retail, though recent sales of second-generation gold references on bracelets, shown below, have landed around their list prices. Retail prices have also climbed. Rolex raised US prices by about 7 percent on average on January 1, 2026, WatchPro reported, then raised gold models about 5 percent on June 1, 2026, while leaving steel unchanged, per Luxury Bazaar. A yellow gold 336938 on Oyster now lists at $60,100.

Bracelet or strap

Oyster and Jubilee bracelets are generally the most in demand. Leather-strap references appeal to a narrower group of buyers, and a worn strap is a replacement cost a buyer will factor in.

Dial color

Certain dial colors draw more interest than others in each metal. Blue, green and mint dials on recent references have been particularly popular. Bob’s Watches’ June 2026 pricing put blue and green 336934 dials at about $23,000 to $28,000, compared with $22,000 to $27,000 for black or white, and Rolex added a bright green dial to the gold line in 2025. Demand shifts, so a specialist compares your exact dial with current sales.

Generation

Second-generation 9002 references are newer and have the latest movement. First-generation watches remain in demand, particularly Rolesor models in good condition with complete sets.

Current Value Ranges

White Rolesor326934: about $19,000–$23,000336934: about $26,000–$28,000
Yellow Rolesor326933: about $20,000–$22,000336933: about $23,000–$28,000
18k yellow gold, Oyster bracelet326938: about $44,000–$49,000336938: about $57,000–$73,000
18k Everose gold, Oyster bracelet326935: about $45,000–$49,000336935: about $62,000–$80,000
18k Everose gold, leather strap326135: about $29,000–$32,000—

Figures are the range where most recorded sales landed in EveryWatch’s sold-listing data for July to September 2026, mostly dealer sales, with outliers excluded. They show the retail-side market, not a purchase offer: a buyer’s offer is lower because it accounts for authentication, reconditioning and resale time. Two patterns stand out: second-generation references sell well above their first-generation equivalents, and a leather-strap Everose watch sells for roughly $15,000 less than the same metal on a bracelet.

Why Service Matters More on a Sky-Dweller

An annual calendar and a second time zone mean more parts and more labor at service time. A Rolex Service Center overhaul on a Sky-Dweller runs about $1,200, compared with about $800 for a time-only model such as an Oyster Perpetual or Datejust, before any additional parts, according to WatchScanning’s 2026 Rolex service cost guide. Buyers price that in. A Sky-Dweller with documented recent service, or one still within Rolex’s five-year international guarantee, removes a cost the buyer would otherwise deduct. A Rolex service also carries its own two-year service guarantee. See our guide to what it costs to service a Rolex for more.

Selling vs. Using It as Collateral

Because many Sky-Dweller references carry substantial values, owners often compare two options. Selling converts the watch to cash permanently. A Rolex loan lets you use the watch as collateral, access cash and keep ownership, with the watch returned when the loan is repaid. Diamond Banc evaluates the watch the same way in both cases, so you can compare the two offers side by side.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Rolex Sky-Dweller hold its value?

Rolesor references in good condition with complete sets generally hold value well. Solid gold and leather-strap references show more variation and depend more on current demand.

What is the difference between the 326934 and the 336934?

Both are white Rolesor Sky-Dwellers. The 336934, introduced in 2023, uses the second-generation calibre 9002, while the 326934 uses the original calibre 9001.

How often does a Sky-Dweller need to be adjusted?

Once a year, on March 1, as long as the watch is kept running. It is an annual calendar, not a perpetual calendar.

Does a Sky-Dweller sell above retail?

It depends on the metal. White Rolesor 336934 examples have recently sold well above their $17,750 US list price, while solid gold references tend to trade around or below retail, so the exact reference and bracelet matter.

Can I get a loan on my Sky-Dweller instead of selling it?

Yes. Diamond Banc offers collateral loans on Rolex watches, including the Sky-Dweller, subject to evaluation.
